Yes, I spent more time in Talkeetna than I planned--waiting on the weather. It is the jumping off point for climbing in and around Denali. They have some true characters and great beer there. It is the alleged inspiration for Cecily (sp), Alaska, home of Northern Exposure. If it wasn't the inspiration, it certainly could have been.

Tim, have you been to Talkeetna? If so, (I know you've been to Alaska) what's it like?
I caught Jim's Podcast today, he's pretty nutty, LOL.

Rock on wholewheat, rock on.
THANKS TIM!
THANKS TIM!
Yes indeed, Tim. Macs were made for media! Play on! Listening to wholewheat radio in iTunes.
That Intel/Mac deal must have made some of you PC users grin.
The weather here in Texas swings wildly between 73 and 103 several times a day - some days. What do they say about Texas weather? Wait a little bit, it'll change.
See ya!

you have to be in France to get the streaming video at the official site:

maybe there is something at the OLN site?
Great web-based radio station at:
wholewheatradio.org (or wholewheatradio.com)
Out of Talkeetna, Alaska--located in a loft in a house with no plumbing--sort of like Chris in the Morning from Northern Exposure. They have a budget circa $200 a month but play wonderful music: locals and independent label stuff.
Broadband is great when it works and this Apple is great for music, podcasting, etc.

I understand. dot dot dash.
Does anyone know where to watch streaming Tour de France? I went to the official site, but, can not seem to locate a webcam page.
I watched the Deep Impact via streaming video - it was pretty interesting - the camera was inside the room with the operations team that had to calculate and upload directions to the vehicle minutes before impact. The streaming NASA TV site can be found via link on the main NASA page.

And Happy 5th to you Pbob.
Happy 5th of July everybody! What to celebrate? 364 days until we are compelled , in the words of Jackson Browne, to "do it again".
