I remember (but do not resemble) Liberace from the days when we had a mere two channels to choose from on the T.V. In my innocence back then, I recognized his flamboyance and assumed his music came "straight" from heart.

The shoes, of which CSTerry speaks, resemble the strange blue color of the masthead on the SJC blog. But it is the perfectly coordinated ensemble, of which the shoes are but a small part, that is truly remarkable. Even then, when taken as a whole, this costume as it were, might appear ordinary except for the bold and dashing aplomb of the wearer.
I can only hope to imagine the affect that such a portrait might have when viewed against the backdrop of an azure Mexican sea.
