And I need all the vicarious trips y'all can supply--for me, this will be a year with no climbing and no foreign travel--that hasn't happened to me since 1996.
Shoulder surgery has now been scheduled for the first of December and since I had nothing to look forward to, signed up for a marathon in November. Haven't trained for it but I reckon I can stumble across the finish line in less than five hours. In the meantime, I'm attempting to negotiate with the medicos for a lower price on the operation--health care in the U.S. just rocks! [much irony intended]
