a ghost town, where our prodigy (prodigal?) is free to riff.

I finally viewed Everest: Beyond the Limit, season 1. I ended
up watching five episodes pretty much nonstop--most of
the characters were not that sympathetic, but it was fascinating
to see a camera crew film two men trying to throw their lives away.
Absolutely appalling the number of "climbers" (they were NOT) going for
the summit. Season 2 isn't on instant view yet at Netflix, so I haven't
seen it. I think Russell Brice switched his operation to the south side
because of the unlimited permits on the north.

I think the documentary was quite sympathetic to Brice, but it
was interesting to see the lessons he (probably) took from 1996,
a radio and Sherpa for every client--maybe he read Outside Online
and took advice from Rose?

Recent computer crash left me wondering if, at last, SJC would be gone for good. But no....you or I, at least, am still here. I think I'll change my name to "Echo".
