Does this qualify for a late night?
CSTerry - Too much of a luddite for that. It will have to wait in line behind the palm pilot and the cell phone. Besides, I don't think we're all that advanced. What's it been? Sixty years? And here we are - gnawing at the bit to kill one and other, again. (Perhaps the problem is that we die too quickly. If we lingered awhile longer, would so many have to go?)
The ancient Greeks and Romans knew about illusions and designed their temples to compensate for the effects, thereby creating instead, the illusions of plumb and parallel where there actually wasn't any. This technology thing gives us the illusion of advancement, when I doubt that we are anywhere near even. Even. Now that's a noble goal. Stay with the planet. Forget saving it, just stay with it.
Then too, luddites need to stay with brevity or pretty soon we'll be needing a printing press.
