Wow. Here I am! Thanks, BBob and Magoo! I hope this means I will be able to get on next time. It's good to see everyone again. I have been following the Mallory and Irvine story on ENews. Apparently some folks think they have figured out where SI is. After the 2001 IMS Search for SI and the camera, Eric and Jochen (I think) flew to Beijing to interview a Chinese climber who recalled seeing another dead person in the vicinity of where GM was found (but he was facing up, lying in a gully of some sort). There are some folks who seem to have made a career out of analyzing the terrain and have located an area that seems likely to be the site but was not searched by the IMS team. I think this is what ENews is going after. IMS has a team going to the North col led by Jake Norton but there is no mention of plans to search. So I guess we will have to wait and see.

I was wondering if anyone has any information on the film that David Breashears is filming this year about '96? He and Ed Viesturs will be on the South side again this filming. I curious to know what the angle will be.

Otherwise I am very disappointed that we still haven't gotten Touching the Void here. I have heard good things but have not found myself in a town that is showing it. :-)

Anyway, I had to get this all in, just in case I can't get back in. But again, thanks to magoo and BBob for their help in getting me here.

All the best,
Rose
