Hi BBob and everyone,
Mteverest.net (link on the right of the page) seems to be the best source of news on Everest. I have been away and have not had a chance to catch up. Apparently someone tried to land on the summit with a helicopter, though. My, how the hardware has changed in the nine years since '96. I guess we are just about at the anniversery of the fatal storm that brought us all together.

Apparently EV is on his summit attempt of Annapurna even as I am typing this. This is being followed on Mteverest.net. I thought he had two more summits to go but they are saying that Annapurna is the only one left - did he go back and redo Shishipangma or just accepting what he did before? I don't recall.

I haven't had a chance to check ENews in a while. They are still on some sort of search for evidence that M&I got above the 2nd Step. Things seem quiet on the M&I issue.

Best regards,
Rose
