Wandering aimlessly down memory lane...

I found this site sometime after reading ITA. 1998, I think.

I think my all-time favorite memory is being at the campsite outside Banff with all my new imaginary friends, and my now-husband Patrick. A HUGE mosquito landed on Alex's forehead, and my dopey husband, without even thinking, smacked the mosquito (and thus Alex). Whack! Sure enough, I think out of reflex, Alex smacked him back, pretty hard too.

We all died laughing. There wasn't any weirdness like "your boyfriend just hit my kid," like there would be with a lot of people. It was just just really funny, in, I guess, our own weird way.

P and I had gotten to know Carrie and Mark pretty well. And Bruce, CST, Ginny, Alex, and PBob seemed great. But when we all laughed, and laughed, and laughed like that, it was obvious that we were REAL imaginary friends. Rafting class 4 rapids the next day ("no really, Terry, you'll be fine!") cemented the deal. And I consider all of them good friends to this day.

Meeting Liz and Tricia was like meeting old dear friends. Magoo and Dave are so nice, and it was great to hang with them, if only for a short period. And there are many others that I would still like to meet.

How lucky we are to have found each other....
