Welcome back Carrie! It will be my honor to give you a timely response to your post, that is - anything posted in the same month as the original. A far cry from the hay day I know, but a pulse is a pulse.
The spirit of Summit Journal Chat actually predates 1996, when a small cadre of climbing enthusiasts began a discussion on Outside Online. Our origin traces to the time when we first stood on two legs. The aftermath of those first steps has led us to question, but the answer is as elusive as ever. One thing seems certain – it’s not out there. It’s within and that provokes a wilderness, the likes of which we have rarely seen. Summit Journal Chat is a trek into that wilderness.
